As You Like It, the tenth annual production of the Young Acting Company, is a collaboration between Gamut’s Popcorn Hat Players Children’s Theatre, Harrisburg Shakespeare Company, and the Gamut Theatre Academy (GTA). Adapted by Gamut’s Executive Director,Melissa Nicholson, the cast of As You Like It is comprised of both former and current students of the GTA program, as well as students who have no experience with Gamut Theatre.
The performance features singing, dancing, staged combat, live music, and the irreverent humor that the Popcorn Hat Players are known for.

Inspired by the social and political rise of the youth of America, this devised piece centers on the struggles, challenges, and frustrations of the rising generation. Open Stage partners with local teenagers and improv comedy artist and teacher Jennie Adams to create a piece of theatre inspired by and reacting to the issues that face this generation of young people.
