MURDER AT ACKERTON HALL (Opens July 9)

On a dark and stormy night at Ackerton Manor, the loathed Roger Ackerton meets a deadly end. Enter Detective Pierre Pierrot, armed with only a corpse, a missing diamond, and five eccentric suspects — each with a motive more absurd than the last. In this whirlwind tribute to Agatha Christie, three actors bring seven outrageous characters to life. Twists, turns, and mistaken identities keep the laughs, and bodies, coming. At Gretna Theatre. FREAKY FRIDAY: THE MUSICAL (Opens July 10)

A hilarious, heartfelt musical about a stressed, over-organized mother and her spontaneous teenage daughter. When the two magically swap bodies right before the mom’s wedding, they are forced to spend a day in each other’s shoes, ultimately learning empathy and understanding. As the day unfolds, they learn to appreciate one another’s struggles, self-acceptance, and renew the strong bond and love between a mother and daughter.  At Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre (dutchapple.com)

DRAGONS LOVE TACOS (Opens July 11)

You know what Dragons really love? Tacos of course! A boy and his dog are watching a TV show about dragons when they unexpectedly get caught up in the ‘Dos and Don’ts’ of what to serve to dragons to eat. Dragons love tacos, but if they accidentally eat spicy salsa…watch out!  Part of Gretna Theatre’s Family Series. (gretnatheatre.org)

Everyone’s favorite nanny is back! Adventure abounds as you get whisked away to meet dancing chimney sweeps and an array of colorful characters in this beloved musical. PUPPY PALS LIVE! (Opens July 16 – one performance only)

As seen on America’s Got Talent, Puppy Pals LIVE! is a family fun action-packed show where adopted and rescued dogs perform spectacular stunts and breathtaking feats. Watch as we lead the puppies and audience through challenging and comical tricks as the pooches show everyone who is really boss! LETTICE AND LOVAGE (Opens July 17)

Lettice Douffet, an expert on Elizabethan cuisine and medieval weaponry, is an indefatigable but daffy enthusiast of history and the theatre. As a tour guide at Fustian House, one of the least stately of London’s stately homes, she theatrically embellishes its historical past, ultimately coming up on the radar of Lotte Schoen, an inspector from the Preservation Trust.

Neither impressed or entertained by Lettice’s freewheeling history lessons, Schoen fires her. Not one to go without a fight, Lettice engages the stoic, conventional Lotte in a battle to the death of all that is sacred to the Empire and the crown. WE WILL ROCK YOU (Opens july 23)

We Will Rock You is a popular jukebox musical with a story by Ben Elton, featuring the hit songs of the rock band Queen, set in a dystopian future where rock music is banned. The plot follows two rebels, Galileo and Scaramouche, who join a group of outcasts called the Bohemians to fight against the oppressive Globalsoft and restore rock and roll. HAIR (Opens July 23)

Bursting with energy, heart, and rebellion, this iconic show captures the spirit of the 1960s counterculture in all its glory.
