About the Show:
With a superb score by Academy Award®–winner Paul Williams (The Rainbow Connection, Evergreen), this 75-minute musical transports audiences to Frogtown Hollow, where Ma and Emmet Otter risk what little they have to make each other’s holiday dreams come true.
Based on the illustrated book by Russell and Lillian Hoban, this warm-hearted tale is full of catchy folk tunes, whimsical charm, and a message of love, sacrifice, and community.
The New York Times praised the show’s “playful and heart-whole beautiful” score, while BroadwayWorld called it “masterful and magical.” Whether you’re reliving a childhood favorite or discovering it for the first time, Emmet Otter’s Jug-Band Christmas is the perfect way to celebrate the season with the entire family.
