Written and performed by Ingrid Griffith, SHIRLEY CHISOLM: UNBOSSED AND UNBOWED brings to life the extraordinary story of the first Black woman elected to the U.S. Congress and the first Black candidate to seek the presidential nomination of a major political party.
Spanning the more than five decades, the play traces Shirley Chisholm’s journey from a ten-year-old girl shaped by her Caribbean heritage to a fearless political trailblazer who challenged entrenched power structures in the name of justice, equity, and representation.
With its legendary score by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, Jesus Christ Superstar tells the final days of Jesus through the eyes of Judas Iscariot—blending political intrigue, spiritual tension, and rock ’n’ roll rebellion. From power ballads to psychedelic riffs, this groundbreaking musical asks urgent questions about faith, fame, betrayal, and the price of revolution.
This special, one-weekend-only production will be staged at Harrisburg’s historic Forum Auditorium at 500 Walnut Street, Harrisburg.
